Black Sticky Rice

The black sticky rice can be found at asian markets. The rice becomes glutinous when cooked and has a nice sweet flavor. It’s a nice and fairly healthy snack or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black sticky rice
  • 4-6 cups water
  • 1c coconut milk
  • 1/4-1/2 raw sugar
  • 1/2t salt
  • sweetened coconut flakes

Steps

  • rinse and drain rice
  • add water to cover rice
  • boil over high heat then simmer for 45m
  • stir occassionally
  • add coconut milk, sugar, salt cook until is a pudding texture
  • sprinkle shredded coconut and serve warm
