The black sticky rice can be found at asian markets. The rice becomes glutinous when cooked and has a nice sweet flavor. It’s a nice and fairly healthy snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup black sticky rice
- 4-6 cups water
- 1c coconut milk
- 1/4-1/2 raw sugar
- 1/2t salt
- sweetened coconut flakes
Steps
- rinse and drain rice
- add water to cover rice
- boil over high heat then simmer for 45m
- stir occassionally
- add coconut milk, sugar, salt cook until is a pudding texture
- sprinkle shredded coconut and serve warm
