Air Fryer Chicken Wings

I watched a video on air fryer wings from Mike on Pro Home Cooks. He tried several methods with the airfryer including baking powder, flour, breading (flour, egg, breadcrumb), parboil, corn starch and twice fried. In the video the breading and twice fried were the winners. I would probably stick with flour for simplicity though.

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings, if whole cut the drummet, flat, discard tip
  • flour (can try with egg, flour, breadcrumb)

seasoning

  • 1t garlic powder
  • 1t ginger powder
  • 1t onion powder
  • 1t cumin powder
  • 1t smoked paprika powder
  • 1t chili powder
  • 1t black pepper
  • 1T salt

sauce

  • 3T gochuchang
  • 1/2 stick butter melted
  • 3T honey
  • 1/4c soy sauce
  • 1/4c mirin
  • 1/4c rice vinegar
  • saute on low for 4-5m

Steps

  • combine sauce ingredients in saucepan
  • cook on low 4-5m
  • mix flour with chicken wings in a bowl
  • mix wings with seasoning mix
  • spray basket of air fryer
  • cook 380 15m
  • coat with sauce in bowl
